A New (Old) Sound
... i'd like to think of it as the "rebirth of slick."
we had a 3 hour "meeting" w/ alan from mud. he brought up a lot of good points. hopefully, we can take them and do something with them. then like phil said, "we gotta go back to the beginning." we gotta keep it simple, we've gotta get back to the heart of rock 'n roll.
so i've been going through my iTunes to find inspiration. as much as i'm fascinated with sounds, i think that lately, i've been influenced with the very bands that we've been playing with. i don't know how they do it or get the tones that they do, but they're doing something right.
i've been working on revamping a bunch of our old songs, let's see how they go over with the rest of the band. somewhere along the way, we fell off the same page, but kept going somehow. exciting times are ahead. i can't wait to hear/feel the new soul of 8PAST. hence, the rebirth.
